National General Insurance deserves a 0 Star rating! BEWARE of THIS INSURANCE COMPANY.
Recently my son was involved in an auto accident that was 100% the fault of the other driver. The other driver was texting and driving and slammed into him causing him to hit the car in front of him because they were both stopped. Our son told the insurance adjuster he was staying with his grandparents in Oregon at the time of the accident. Because of this detail, they are trying to get out of offering us any assistance.
It will cost them nothing because ultimately the other driver is at fault, however, they have spent the last three weeks trying to get out of helping us with this claim at all and are telling us it's because the car was "Garaged" somewhere else. We have paid them thousands of dollars and NEVER EVER filed a claim. The first time we need their assistance, they cancel our policy and don't want to help us settle with the driver's insurance company. I can't warn you enough to stay away from these guys.
The way they have treated us...it's hard to believe they'd treat a victim of an accident that had injuries this way. SHAME ON THEM!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $4000.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
National General Insurance Cons: Bad track record of helping their clients with claims.
